Stella is a Partner at ELP and has received her B.A. LLB (Hons) degree from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad. She has been a part of the indirect tax team of ELP for over ten years.
Her area of expertise has been indirect taxes including service tax, customs and foreign trade policy, value added tax (VAT), Excise and Goods and Services tax (GST) as well as certain aspects of Income tax. She has been actively engaged in providing advisory and litigation services to various clients and also represents clients in proceedings before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums as well as in assessment proceedings. Additionally, she has been actively engaged in undertaking tax review and structuring exercises for multinational corporations.
She has also been a part of various advocacy related initiatives before Government authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, DGFT, RBI, Legal Metrology Department etc. in relation to tax and other regulatory aspects.
Stella has advised and represented clients across various sectors including e-commerce, shipping and logistics, banking, hospitality and retail.
