Gopal Krishna Mundhra is a Partner at ELP, and a part of the firm’s tax practice.
Gopal’s areas of focus have been customs, excise, service tax, sales tax and foreign trade policy. With more than a decade of experience, Gopal has been actively engaged in providing litigation and advisory services to clients across sectors including telecom, metal, lifts & elevator, cement, software, insurance, asset management, financial services, power and infrastructure amongst others.
Gopal has successfully represented clients in proceedings before various quasi-judicial and judicial forums. Gopal has assisted and continues to assist several Indian and multinational firms across sectors in transitioning to the GST regime.
He is regularly called upon to speak on indirect taxes at various forums across the country.
Gopal is recognized as a Future Star for Tax by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. Additionally, he has also been recognized in ALB’s India Rising Stars for 2022 – this list recognizes the most accomplished young Lawyers below the age of 40 based out of India. He has been recognized as Litigation & Disputes Attorney of the Year in International Tax Review Awards 2024.
Prior to joining ELP, Gopal gained six years industry experience working with leading manufacturing companies.
