Mohammad Asif Mansoory is a Partner in the Tax Practice of ELP and focuses on indirect taxes. Asif has over 10 years of professional experience in advising Indian & multinational clients on indirect tax matters and allied laws.
He has assisted clients and associations across sectors in their transition into GST including advising them on complications arising post implementation of GST and Customs matters. His areas of expertise prior to the introduction of GST covered excise, service tax, central sales tax as well state level levies.
Asif also advises clients on matters relating to foreign trade policy, state & central incentives, policy advocacy, business restructuring options, ongoing business operations, optimization of indirect tax costs, litigation assistance, due diligence etc. He has also worked on key projects involving process review for examining sufficiency of systems from a tax perspective, diagnostic reviews and advising on tax supply chains.
Asif has worked with clients across sectors including Banking & Financial Services, FMCG, Logistics, Auto Leasing, Media & Entertainment, Information Technology, Power and Renewable Energy.
Prior to ELP, Asif was part of the tax teams at PwC and Ernst & Young. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University.
