Ruchita Shah is an Associate Partner in the Tax practice of Economic Laws Practice in Ahmedabad.
Ruchita has over eleven years of post-qualification experience and has handled matters across various Indirect Tax and allied laws such as Customs, GST, Foreign Trade Policy, Export Control, BIS, Legal Metrology, Value Added Tax, Service Tax, and Value Added Tax. She regularly advises various multinational and domestic companies on matters under these laws. She has worked with clients across sectors including manufacturing, trading, financial services, information technology and media. Within the Information Technology sector, Ruchita’s expertise extends to areas such as MTCTE (Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment), National Security Directive for the Telecom Sector, E-waste Rules, and more.
Ruchita has authored articles on diverse topics published in various tax publications.
Ruchita has been recognized as Rising Star for Tax by Women in Business Law APAC Awards 2023.
A qualified lawyer, Ruchita is also a Chartered Accountant with an All-India Merit Rank.
Prior to joining ELP, Ruchita was part of the Indirect Tax team at Deloitte.
