Mehul Palor is an Associate Partner in the Tax practice at ELP and is based in Mumbai. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a commerce graduate from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.
With almost a decade of experience in indirect taxation, Mehul advises multinational corporations across diverse sectors, including information technology and IT-enabled services (IT/ITES), steel, energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure. His expertise spans indirect tax advisory, transaction support, compliance reviews, and litigation management.
Mehul has significant experience in conducting indirect tax reviews, due diligence exercises, and health checks under various tax regimes to identify potential risks, optimize tax efficiencies, and strengthen credit management processes. He has also been involved in numerous complex and high-value customs and indirect tax disputes, representing and assisting clients through various stages of litigation.
He has also assisted businesses with their transition to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime, helping them navigate regulatory changes and implement robust tax processes and controls.
