The team has successfully maintained action in rem for Charterer’s failure to pay for bunkers, against bunkers for wrongful arrest of vessel in a foreign jurisdiction; and for a Cargo Receiver (non-Chartering) for the damage caused to cargo by ingress of sea water. We have also successfully acted for sub-Charterers in defending a claim in arbitration on account of restraint of princes, and in various cases of force majeure; and have represented clients in one of the biggest cases of liability for damage caused at sea.
