Overview

Chanakya Changez Keswani is an Associate Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of ELP and has been with the firm since 2015.

Chanakya has significant experience in corporate commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on information technology disputes, tortious claims, insolvency & debt recovery matters, shareholders disputes as well as pre-litigation advisory and mediation.

Chanakya has worked extensively with clients across the information technology, private equity, energy and retail sectors. He represents global technology giants as well as some of the most reputed business conglomerates in India before various fora such as the Supreme Court of India, Bombay High Court, NCLT/NCLAT and Debt Recovery Tribunal amongst others. He has had the opportunity to work on the Insolvency resolution process of one of the 12 NPA Accounts identified by the Reserve Bank of India for resolution under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

Chanakya has also worked with Invest India (a unit of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India) to suggest amendments to E-Commerce Rules, 2020 as well as the Code of Civil Procedure,1908.

Prior to joining ELP, Chanakya worked with Advani & Co, on various domestic and international commercial arbitrations.
