Ashishchandra Rao is a Partner in the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Practice of ELP.
He has represented and advised domestic and international clientele in negotiations, mediations, court litigation and international commercial & domestic arbitrations. He has worked across sectors including drugs and cosmetics, legal metrology, real estate, electricity, insolvency and bankruptcy, debt recovery, infrastructure and construction, environment, information technology, finance and securities. He has a deep understanding, knowledge and experience of pre-dispute and litigation advisory and strategy.
Ashishchandra has extensive experience in court litigation at all levels and has represented clients up to the Supreme Court of India and has various reported judgments to his name. Ashish has also represented clients in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations, including arbitrations under the Rules of ICC, SIAC, BSE and NSE. Ashish is also proficient in trial law and conducting complex evidentiary hearings.
Ashish is recognized as a Future Star for International Arbitration by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. Additionally, he has also been recommended for his arbitration expertise in the Legal 500 rankings.
Ashishchandra is enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He is also a member of Young MCIA, Young SIAC and ICC Young Arbitrators Forum.
