Overview

Arpan Behl is a Partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice of ELP, Delhi.

Arpan with over a decade of experience has established himself as a trusted advisor to clients and possesses a deep understanding of the legal landscape. Arpan’s expertise lies in Dispute Resolution, Commercial, Civil and Regulatory Litigation. He actively represents clients before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, District Courts, National Company Law Tribunal and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal. He represents clients before the Mining Tribunals in disputes arising under the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Act, 2015.

Arpan has represented and advised Clients on different facets of Civil and Commercial Law in domestic and International Arbitration(s), independently and/or as a co-counsel. He has also acted as a co-counsel in ICC Arbitrations.

Arpan has represented and advised Clients on a wide array of issue(s) from Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Renewable Purchase Obligations, Provident Fund compliances, encashment of Bank Guarantees (Mining Industry), Electricity Act, 2003 to cheque dishonour cases, criminal liability of Independent Directors etc. With over a decade of experience in litigation, Arpan is able to offer valuable inputs and a well-rounded approach in matters pertaining to contractual disputes.

He was recommended for Litigation by RSG in its 2017 India report and has been recently recommended for Litigation by The Legal500 Asia – Pacific.
