Ria Dalwani

Ria Dalwani is an Associate Partner in the Arbitration, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice of Economic Laws Practice (ELP), Mumbai.

She advises and represents Indian and international clients in domestic and international arbitrations, cross border matters, and complex disputes, with experience in shareholder and post-M&A disputes, hotel owner-operator disputes and contractual disputes across industries.

She regularly advises port operators, hotel owners and operators, and business conglomerates on a range of contractual matters. She has worked across various sectors including industrial, telecommunications, coal, energy, banking, shipping, media, and infrastructure. She has represented clients in both ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations.

Ria regularly represents clients before Indian courts in commercial matters, civil suits, copyright disputes and a range of arbitration-related proceedings, including enforcement and execution of awards, challenges to awards and interim relief proceedings.

She is a member of ICDR and the American Arbitration Association’s India Committee, Indian Women in International Arbitration (IWIA), and has been recognised as a Recommended Lawyer for Arbitration by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific.
