Abhishek Sanyal is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial practice of ELP.
Abhishek has advised numerous international and domestic clients (including a number of Fortune 500 companies) on marquee corporate and commercial transactions such as acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers, demergers, restructuring, and reorganisations in various sectors including automotive, media, manufacturing, cements, retail, ecommerce and logistics.
Abhishek has advised on structuring aspects of various transactions and has drafted and negotiated a wide range of transaction documents such as share/debenture subscription agreements, investment agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, resolutions plans under the IBC regime, asset purchase agreements, business transfer agreements, franchise agreements, license agreements, escrow agreements, pledge agreements, schemes of arrangements and other ancillary transaction documents.
Abhishek has been recognized in Business World’s elite 40 Under 40 Club of Young Law Achievers. He has been recognized as recommended lawyer for Corporate and M&A by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific.
Abhishek is well regarded by clients for his hands-on and solution-oriented approach to matters. He is a director on the board of two companies engaged in the automotive sector. He has also authored a number of articles on India’s foreign direct investment regime, foreign direct investments in retail trading, and reorganizations.
Prior to ELP, Abhishek served with Khaitan & Co with their Corporate / M&A team.
Abhishek is a law graduate from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
