Sujjain Talwar is a co-founding Partner of ELP. With over 30 years of experience, he is a qualified Solicitor in India as well as England and Wales. Sujjain also serves as an Independent Director on some boards. Prior to ELP, Sujjain has worked with Crawford Bayley & Co., Mumbai, as well as with Pinsent Masons, U.K.

Sujjain Talwar is a co-founding Partner of ELP. With over 30 years of experience, he is a qualified Solicitor in India as well as England and Wales.

Sujjain has worked extensively on private sector participation initiatives in various infrastructure projects in India and abroad. His work includes infrastructure projects in the region, including Yemen, Fujairah, Djibouti and the Maldives. He has international experience in managing public-private participation across various infrastructure sectors including water, roads, ports and airports.

Sujjain has been instrumental in developing ELP’s hospitality practice and has acted (usually for owners) in several hotel transactions involving almost every international hotel operator in India. He also serves as an Independent Director on boards of some of India’s leading companies.

Sujjain has been ranked as a Band 1 lawyer for his expertise in Projects, Infrastructure & Energy in India by Chambers Asia-Pacific. He is also recognized as a Leading Lawyer by IFLR1000 Energy & Infrastructure and IFLR1000 Financial & Corporate. Sujjain has been commended in Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for Projects and Energy. He has also been recognized for his expertise in Construction by Who’s Who Legal. He is featured as Elite practitioner for Construction & Real Estate, Energy & Infrastructure in Asialaw Leading Lawyers and has featured in the India Business Law Journal’s A List as India’s Top 100 Lawyers.
