The fourteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) concluded in Yaoundé on 29 March 2026, with Day 4 focused on consolidating discussions and outlining the way forward for ongoing negotiations.

This marks the final post in our 4-part series, where we have shared key highlights and developments from each day of the conference.

Day 4 centred on closing deliberations, including discussions on WTO reform, e-commerce, and the Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement, where members remained divided on key issues. Notably, the e-commerce moratorium lapsed without consensus, and no agreement was reached on a comprehensive WTO reform work plan. While some progress was made on development-focused outcomes and future workstreams, members acknowledged that several unresolved issues will continue to be negotiated in Geneva.

We hope this series has been insightful and helpful in understanding the key developments at the Ministerial Conference of the WTO.
