TRADE POLICY

India

• Foreign Trade Policy is amended to permit invoicing, payment and settlement of exports and imports in INR in sync with RBI’s A.P. (DIR Series) Circular No. 10 dated July 11, 2022.
• Import of PET Flakes has been permitted subject to NOC from MoEF&CC and an authorisation from DGFT.

USA

• President Biden signs an Executive Order on Ensuring Robust Consideration of Evolving National Security Risks by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
• Reports indicate that U.S. companies that export chipmaking equipment to Chinese Factories that produce advanced chips with sub-14nn process will require a government license from next month.
• The Consumer Product Safety Commission voted to approve a new mandatory federal safety standard that requires loose or separable magnets in certain magnet products to be either too large to swallow or weak enough to reduce the risk of internal injuries when swallowed.

Europe

• Commission helps resume trade in European pork and poultry to the Republic of Korea
