TRADE POLICY

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service authorizes imports of fresh pummelo fruit from Vietnam into the U.S, which will be subject to phytosanitary measures.
No import restrictions imposed on imports of laptops, desktops, servers, mobile phones, tablets, and components thereof based on a settlement between complainant Sonrai Memory Ltd. and respondents located in China, Korea, and the U.S. pursuant to an IPR infringement investigation.
No import restrictions imposed on knitted footwear based on a settlement between complainant Nike Inc. and respondents located in Germany and the U.S. pursuant to an IPR infringement investigation.
The Food and Drug Administration is proposing to update the criteria for labeling foods as “healthy” on their packaging.
Last date for applications for TRQs under tariff head 7108 for the 3rd Quarter of the FY2022-23 is extended till October 10, 2022. TRQ issued under tariff head 7108 for the import in 1st and 2nd Quarter of the FY2022-23 shall be revalidated till November 30, 2022.
