Sachin Jain currently serves as an Associate Partner at Economic Laws Practice (ELP). Sachin has deep expertise on Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws, state levies, and regulations under the Foreign Trade Policy. He also brings to the table extensive experience in Legal Metrology and FSSAI Laws.
Sachin has served clients across sectors including Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Real Estate, and the Service industry. In this capacity, Sachin has been instrumental in a wide range of assignments, including mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring, and handling litigation matters for both corporate entities and multinational corporations.
His experience also extends to navigating issues related to CENVAT Credit, excise matters, customs valuation, and ensuring that clients maintain the necessary documentation to meet the requirements of future government audits. Sachin has also been actively involved in advocacy initiatives before government authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, DGFT, RBI, and the Legal Metrology Department, particularly in relation to tax and regulatory matters.
Sachin also works closely with the MSME and start up community on a range of legal issues. A mentor to several start-ups, Sachin is also a trainer at the IIM Kashipur incubation centre.
A Chartered Accountant by education, Sachin has previously served with PwC, PDS Legal, KPMG and Coin DCX.
