Abhay Joshi is an Associate Partner in the Competition Law & Policy and Real Estate practices of ELP. Abhay has handled a wide range of complex corporate mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investments, labour & employment, private equity, project finance, infrastructure and real estate transactions. He has advised Indian and foreign multinational clients across various sectors including hospitality, real estate, infrastructure, technology, and telecom. Additionally, Abhay has also advised Indian & foreign governments. He has been involved in drafting, structuring and negotiation of asset acquisition, construction & development, hospitality management, commercial leasing, mergers & acquisition and other corporate transaction contracts.
Prior to ELP, Abhay served with Singhania & Partners with their infrastructure, project finance and dispute resolution teams. He also brings to the table international experience from his association with the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Competition and Schwartz LLC in New York, where he handled matters relating to US merger control and private equity transactions. He is known for his client focussed approach and bringing his varied experience and innovative thinking to provide solutions to complex problems on a range of legal issues.
Abhay is a law graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune and holds a Masters from New York University, School of Law, USA.
