The fourteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) continued in Yaoundé on 28 March 2026, with Day 3 focusing on ministerial-level engagements to provide political direction and advance negotiations on key issues.

This marks the third post in our 4-part series, where we share key highlights and developments from each day of the conference.

Day 3 centred on substantive ministerial sessions covering fisheries subsidies, the Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement, the e-commerce work programme and moratorium, agriculture, and development, including issues concerning least developed countries. Discussions reflected both progress and divergence among members, particularly on investment facilitation and e-commerce, while reaffirming continued engagement on dispute settlement reform and emerging areas such as trade and climate.
