India has moved swiftly on online gaming regulation. With both the Houses of the Parliament passing the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, a national framework is set to emerge that promotes e-sports and social gaming, while imposing a sweeping ban on online money games. The Bill now awaits Presidential assent.
