Yashojit Mitra provides his inputs to Shishir Sinha from Hindu Businessline in an article, “Actual ODI outflow rose over 11% in May”.

The article talks about rise in Actual Overseas Direct Investment over 11% in May this year as compared to corresponding month of last fiscal as reported by the Finance Ministry. The number of reasons for this rise such as liberalised ODI regime and domestic companies’ effort to enter strategic tie-up abroad beside others. They also clarified that higher outflow will not have impact on current account deficit and Indian rupee.
