The digital economy is expanding globally at an exceptional rate. However, like every significant shift, it presents both opportunities and challenges. One of the complexities in the digital economy is the opaque nature of e-commerce transactions, which involve the dissection of various activities culminating into a single transaction and issues concerning the location of these activities. This obscurity leads to significant questions about how profits from a “Transaction” should be allocated, both in terms of activities and jurisdictions.
