The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) have cautioned taxpayers about fraudulent summons being circulated to mislead and financially exploit individuals.

These counterfeit summons falsely feature the CBIC logo and a Document Identification Number (DIN) to appear official and authentic. However, these numbers are fabricated and have no connection to legitimate communications from the CBIC.
