Simpler tax regime to Covid deduction: common man wants from budget 2022

Rahul Charkha, Partner at Economic Laws Practice (ELP) has been quoted by The Times Of India in an article titled ‘Simpler tax regime to Covid deduction- What the common man wants from Budget 2022’. Rahul is of the opinion that increasing limits under Section 80C and Section 80D may encourage more mutual fund investments in India. He further says that the threshold of various allowances and deductions under Section 80C is far overdue.
