SEBI has issued an Informal Guidance in response to queries involving an interpretation of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 2026, namely (i) the net worth structure of an AMC and (ii) the eligibility to be the sponsor of a mutual fund. In this Update, we have reviewed and analysed SEBI’s Informal Guidance on these issues.
