SEBI, through its Consultation Paper dated April 24, 2026, has proposed a revised framework for the computation of variable net worth for stockbrokers, shifting to an aggregate methodology based on client credit balances and the number of active clients in light of the upstreaming framework. The consultation paper is open for comments till May 15, 2026.
