In an effort to increase transparency, SEBI has written a consultation paper wanting more disclosures from “high-risk foreign portfolio investors”. SEBI has proposed that FPIs with more than 50% stake in a single stock or group conglomerate will need to reveal ownership details, which have to be given within 6 months.
