SEBI, vide its Consultation Paper dated September 09, 2026, proposed measures aimed at strengthening the governance framework of Market Infrastructure Institutions (𝐌𝐈𝐈𝐬), including by relaxing certain restrictions on the appointment of directors and introducing standardized requirements for critical KMPs.
