Under a circular issued by RBI on June 7, 2018 titled ‘Reporting in a Single Master Form’ (available here) (“Circular”), Indian entities were required to input data on total foreign investment on an interface called the ‘Foreign Investment Reporting and Management System (FIRMS)’ (link available here) (“Interface”).

  • RBI had also issued a user manual (available here) for the Interface for: (i) registration of the Indian entity; and (ii) submission of the details regarding foreign investment after registration, which has been updated.

The Indian entities were required to register on the Interface upto July 20, 2018. Now, please note that the registration process on the Interface website has been closed and all the registered entities can add or edit details till August 15, 2018.
