Economic Laws Practice (ELP)’s Partner Gopal Krishna Mundhra and Rajath Bharadwaj, Associate have co-authored an article “Questioning Morality: The Classification Dilemma Of Massagers As Adult Toys” published by BW Legal World.

The article discusses a recent Bombay High Court case concerning the validity of the actions of customs authorities impeding the import of “body massagers” by treating them as adult sex toys and consequently terming them as “prohibited goods” under Notification No. 1/64 dated 18.01.1964 which prohibits the import of “any obscene book, pamphlet, paper, drawing, painting, representation, figure or article”.
