India’s first privacy legislation, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 was supposed to have a transformative effect on the country’s tech landscape. But after India enacted the privacy law, companies are still finding it a maze to traverse, with more unanswered questions than solutions provided.
