The fourteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) continued in Yaoundé on March 27, 2026, with Day 2 focusing discussions on WTO reforms.
This marks the second post in our 4-part series, where we share key highlights and developments from each day of the conference.
Day 2 centred on WTO reform breakout sessions, where ministers engaged in detailed discussions across themes such as decision-making and past mandates, development, and level playing field issues. These were followed by a plenary session on WTO reform and transparency, along with several bilateral and small group consultations among members.
The discussions reflected continued emphasis on strengthening the multilateral trading system, addressing long-standing mandates, and ensuring an inclusive, member-driven reform process.
