Vivek Sharma is a Partner with ELP’s Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice in Delhi.

Vivek is an alumnus of Faculty of Law, Delhi University and is admitted with the Bar Council of Delhi.

Vivek handles all forms of civil, commercial and tax disputes across forums and has appeared in various matters before the Supreme Court of India, across High Courts and Tribunals (CESTAT, ITAT, APTEL, VAT Tribunals). He has handled matters before the High Courts of J&K, Allahabad, Delhi, Rajasthan, Sikkim, M.P., Hyderabad, P&H, etc. Vivek strives and believes in early resolution to disputes and looks at innovative ways of bringing closure to issues. He has been engaged in matters for Writ remedies and Settlement Commissions. Given the advent of GST in India, he has been engaged in matters before the GST Anti Profiteering Authority and GST Advance Ruling Authority.

Vivek is also extensively engaged in tax advisory and tax structuring across industry spectrum. He converges his litigation acumen with practical advice to the clients. He closely follows the development of laws related to Direct and Indirect taxes; with interests in International taxation, Foreign Trade Policy and Customs related matters.

In the past, he has been invited by ICAI, Northern Region to speak and address on various aspects of tax laws.

Prior to ELP, Vivek was with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan and was part of the tax practice at KPMG.
