Overview

Rajat Chhabra is an Associate Partner at ELP, and has been an integral part of firm’s Tax practice for the last eight
years. Rajat is a Chartered Accountant (India) and a Certified Public Accountant (USA). He is a law graduate and also
holds Bachelor’s in Commerce (Hons.) degree (Delhi University).

Rajat’s areas of expertise are goods and services tax, value added tax, customs, excise, service tax, foreign trade policy
and state incentives. He has been engaged in assisting and guiding numerous clients as regards transitioning into Value
Added Tax in the Middle East region and Goods and Services Tax in India.

Rajat has advised various Fortune 500 Companies in sectors such as insurance, automobile, financial services, oil and gas, infrastructure projects, renewable energy and food processing among others. He has also been involved in making representations to the Ministry of Finance (India) in relation to various tax policy matters on behalf of numerous clients and industry associations.

Rajat has represented clients in proceedings before various quasi-judicial and judicial forums. He has also authored several articles in various esteemed publications and is a regular speaker at seminars/conferences in India and the
UAE.

Prior to joining ELP, Rajat has worked with SpiceJet, Reliance Industries Limited and BMR Advisors.
