Vidya Majumdar is an Associate Partner in the Labour & Employment practice of ELP.
She has over 12 years of post-qualification experience, with a primary focus on labour and employment law, advising multinational corporations, domestic businesses, and senior management teams on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Her practice includes workforce restructuring and redundancies, disciplinary and grievance processes, employment contracts and policies, senior executive exits, workplace investigations, discrimination and harassment issues, whistleblower complaints, and the employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business transfers.
Her sector experience spans technology, financial services, logistics and supply chain, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, media, and professional services. During her early years in practice, she worked with Edelweiss, Khaitan & Co, and IndusLaw, where she advised on a broad range of employment and corporate law matters, including cross-border workforce issues, labour law compliance, due diligence exercises, and post-acquisition integration.
Prior to joining ELP, she served as Lead Counsel (Global Legal Desk) at Brambles, where she worked closely with business and legal teams across North America, APAC, and EMEA on global employment law strategy, international mobility, policy harmonisation, labour compliance, cross-border workforce issues, and related commercial and corporate advisory matters.
