In the Finance Bill, 2026, the Hon’ble Finance Minister has proposed a tax exemption for income earned by foreign companies from specified data-centre services procured in India, applicable up to March 31, 2047, subject to notified conditions, along with a 15% safe-harbour margin for related-party data-centre services.
