The Ministry of Labour and Employment has increased the EPF wage ceiling from INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 per month vide Notification No. S.O. 5109(E) dated September 17, 2026. The revised ceiling, effective from September 17, 2026, expands the scope of mandatory provident fund coverage and may have implications for employee and employer contributions and payroll processes.
