January 2019 has seen a lot of positive momentum from central & state governments and regulators in the energy sector. From proactive steps being taken by the Andhra Pradesh government in the renewable energy space , to proposed tariff regulations by CERC, to favourable orders benefitting industry by MERC — all working in tandem to revive industry sentiment in this sector. One hopes that tomorrow’s union budget will further incentivise the energy industry.
