India’s regulatory regime in the corporate sector has been witnessing swift changes. Especially in the times of COVID-19, the Government has been acting proactively to address the concerns and to meet the demands of the industry. In the past few months, the Government (amongst other things) has relaxed several compliances, acquisition of stressed listed companies has been made easier, the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2020 has been notified and the Consolidated Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Policy has been issued.
Understanding the implications of the regulatory atmosphere is critical for both investors and businesses. We at ELP, are glad to present to you our compendium which collates the key changes in India’s corporate laws for the period February 29, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
