We write to you with an important update on Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification in India. The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (Ministry) had previously notified the “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021” (Order) in March 2021, expanding the scope of electronic products that are subject to compulsory registration with the BIS.
