Our Senior Counsel Mukesh Chand has been quoted in the recent Mint article “Bankruptcy early-warning system on IBC reform agenda” authored by Gireesh Chandra Prasad.

He suggested reinstating a pre-IBC legal provision that required directors to initiate restructuring before defaults escalate. He also noted that early warning and pre-insolvency tools fall under the purview of the RBI and related agencies, not the IBBI, and urged states to tighten promoter screening, safeguard project escrows, and ensure stronger enforcement.
