While the minimum investment size in an PMS scheme is Rs 50 lakh, the same is pegged at INR 1 crore for AIFs. An increasing number of high net worth individuals or HNIs are migrating from portfolio management schemes (PMS) to Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) due to lower tax complexities even as AIFs mandate a larger investment ticket size.
