The Delhi High Court, through an interim order in Nayara Energy Limited v. SAP India Private Limited, directed SAP India to restore and resume enterprise and software support services to Nayara Energy.

The High Court observed that the applicability, jurisdictional scope and binding effect of the European Union sanctions had not been proved at the interim stage. It also noted that commercial hardship for continuing the contract cannot be equated with legal impossibility.
