The article highlights that the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) has strengthened Indiaβs insolvency framework by enabling time-bound resolution and improving credit discipline. However, delays in admission of cases and approval of resolution plans continue to reduce asset value and increase costs. Proposed amendments seek to clarify legal issues and introduce mechanisms such as creditor-initiated and asset-wise resolution.
