Dr PV Ramana Murthy (PV) heads the employment and labor law vertical at Economic Laws Practice (ELP).
A qualified lawyer and the University topper in Labor Laws, PV has specialized in employment laws, labor relations, human rights, sustainable business, responsible sourcing, stakeholder engagement, sustainable communication, global employee transitions and full-scale strategic HR responsibilities. He has rich experience in handling labor law matters of various companies he has served with across various courts in India including the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He also brings to the table a deep specialization in the areas of business strategy, talent management, leadership development, advanced Organization Development (OD), change management, executive coaching, culture building and transformative leadership.
With over three and a half decades of rich experience, PV has served as head of human resources (where he also handled the responsibilities of employment and labor law related matters) at some of the finest Indian and Multi-national Companies.
Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Global Head – Human Resources (CHRO) of the Indian Hotels Company Limited (the hospitality chain owned by prestigious TATA conglomerate in India).
Prior to that PV worked with The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) for a period of 15 years as its Executive Director – Human Resources, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB) – a Board level position.
Earlier, PV has also worked in the manufacturing sector (ferro alloys/steel) for close to 13 years.
During the course of his career, PV has had a rich global experience and exposure in Asia, Europe and USA.
PV, a talented author, has recently authored a book on “The Power of Humility: How Humble High Achievers are Rewriting the Rules of Leadership” (published by Harper Collins), which has made it to the bestselling charts.
