Karan Dev Chopra is an Associate Partner in the Litigation, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution practice of ELP, Delhi. Karan is also an Advocate on Record in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Karan has close to a decade of experience in advising and representing clients across diverse sectors, including pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, alco-bev, power and technology. He has also advised and represented several notable individuals and entities and philanthropic foundations in a catena of high-profile matters in the realm of criminal and white-collar proceedings.
Additionally, Karan has advised and represented several corporates in the area of environmental litigation and has a robust and practical understanding of commercial and criminal laws. He regularly appears before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and various other High Courts across the country. Karan also has deep expertise in drafting pleadings and has extensively briefed leading Senior Counsels and assisted them in several high-profile litigations.
He has played a key role in advising global clients on several intricate and complex facets of Indian law and has been part of a wide array of commercial arbitrations including domestic and international commercial arbitrations. Karan also advises clients on extradition law and financial crimes.
In his approach to litigation, Karan seamlessly blends pragmatism and practicality, considering crucial business and legal aspects along with addressing any potential obstacles.
Prior to joining ELP, Karan served with Karanjawala & Co. from 2013 to 2017, and with Luthra & Luthra Law Offices from 2017 to 2020. Karan practiced independently before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India from 2020 to 2022.
