Welcome to the Data Protection Dashboard

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Act) provides the legal framework for protecting digital personal data while recognizing the need to process such data for certain lawful purposes. The Act along with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (Rules) sets out key provisions including rights and obligations of various stakeholders, applicable exemptions, establishment of a Data Protection Board of India (Board), and powers of the central government.

The Act covers processing of all digital personal data in India, whether collected digitally or digitised subsequently. The Act also applies to digital personal data processed outside India if it relates to offering goods or services to data principals in India.

Our dashboard is your gateway to a comprehensive understanding of India's evolving data protection regime. The dashboard is designed to simplify the understanding of legal requirements and to provide clear and actionable insights on rights, obligations, and overall compliance regime under the framework of the Act and the Rules.
